TRIDENT

The hardware and sensing layer of Aegis Compliance OS — a mixed-reality asset inspection and quality assurance system built on two issued U.S. Navy patents licensed from the Naval Postgraduate School under Defense Patent Holiday CEL NPS-LIC-26-006. TRIDENT feeds physical inspection data directly into the STARS schema, generating regulatory compliance evidence automatically.

The physical sensing
layer of Aegis.

TRIDENT is the hardware and mixed-reality sensing component of the Aegis Compliance OS platform. Where Aegis automates compliance at the software and configuration layer, TRIDENT extends that automation into the physical world — enabling field technicians to inspect assets, log defects, and generate compliance evidence without manual documentation.

Built on two issued Navy patents — US 11,138,805 (Quantitative Quality Assurance for Mixed Reality) and US 11,062,523 (Creation Authoring Point Tool Utility to Recreate Equipment) — TRIDENT captures physical inspection data and routes it directly into the STARS schema. Assets inspected by TRIDENT automatically populate SSP narratives, quality management records, and audit trails within the Aegis platform.

Hardware development is underway with DE Design Works, the primary hardware partner named in the NPS Evaluation Plan ($200K allocated). Target Q4 2026 milestone: lab-based validation of MR localization accuracy, digital twin fidelity, and hardware/software interfaces with the Aegis platform.
